Starting the Next Chapter

Recently in life, I have discovered the well-known saying to be true, that God closes a door, and opens another. God wants to take you at whatever stage your at, and progress on in the story of life. He wants to take the mess we are and create it into something beautiful. But, once we hit that comfortable place in life, where everything is going great…what’s next? It’s really easy to want to stay in your box, where you are most comfortable, but you can’t stay in there forever. There comes a point in life, where God is ready to wrap that chapter up, and bring something new and crazy into your life. When we are at that point of desperation and hard times, we have to follow God and leaders around us to remind us of who God created us to be. But, once you hit that zone of comfort…it’s your turn. Once you have been defined in Christ, and enjoyed soaking up the sweet sunshine, God is ready to take you and shape you into a leader. It will stretch you, make you uncomfortable…and it might just be a little awkward at times, but there are people out there…who neeed a leader. God has been preparing you for this time in your life, and you have to put aside your emotions and risk your reputation for the sake of others. We are called to be leading followers! We follow God, and lead the world to Him. I don’t know what stage you are at right now in life, but God is getting you ready to start the next chapter. Following God is not always easy, and neither is leading others to God…no one ever said it would be, but it’s time to step out of your box. This is your story, your life…what’s next?

  1. Girl, you are speaking the right words! I have been homeschooled since 4th grade and now I am going back out to school (10th grade) and it is scary for me! At first I didn’t want to go back out to school (my parents had decided that it was a good idea) but I was reading the Bible and 2 devo. books and lo-and-behold, it was about going outside of your comfort zone, taking risks, touching peoples lives more than you are already, and the biggest one-Trusting God more and more. I wanna say thank you so much and you are a huge blessing to my life!

    • Thank you so much, it means a lot that my posts are encouraging someone. I write straight from heart and what God is speaking to me! I wish you the best of luck, as you get back into the swing of school!
      God bless! <3 ~Julie
